Getting started

What is Nitro?

Nitro is WhatsApp campaign software for Windows. It sends personal messages, pictures, documents and polls to your contacts through your own WhatsApp numbers, at a safe pace, and collects the replies in one inbox.

What do I need to run it?

A Windows 10 or 11 PC (64-bit), an internet connection, and one or more phones with WhatsApp. No administrator rights are needed; setup adds Microsoft Edge WebView2 if your PC does not have it.

Does Nitro use the official WhatsApp Business API?

No. Nitro links your numbers the way WhatsApp Web does (Linked devices), so you send from your own numbers with no per-message fees and no template approval. WhatsApp’s own rules do not allow automated bulk messages, so send only to people who know you and expect to hear from you.

Does my phone need to stay online?

No. The phone keeps working as usual and does not need to be online while Nitro sends. Open WhatsApp on it now and then, or WhatsApp may unlink the device.

Does it work on a Mac?

No, Nitro is made for Windows 10 and 11.

How does the free trial work?

With a free Leads ADD account, your trial starts the first time you sign in to Nitro and lasts 3 days, with 1 WhatsApp number. No card is needed.

Sending

How many messages can I send a day?

By default each number sends up to 40 messages an hour and 200 a day once its warm-up is done, with random waits between messages. You can change these values; Nitro warns you when one goes past its safe line. Your plan may also set a daily and monthly total.

Can my WhatsApp number get banned?

WhatsApp can restrict any number that sends unwanted bulk messages, and no tool can rule that out. Nitro’s pacing, warm-up, WhatsApp check, landline skipping and opt-out handling lower the risk a lot. Send only to people who know you, keep your messages useful, and honour every opt-out.

What can I send?

Text of up to 4,096 characters; pictures (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB); video (MP4 or 3GP, up to 16 MB); audio files (up to 16 MB, sent as a file); documents such as PDF and Office files (up to 100 MB); and polls with 2 to 12 answers. Buttons and lists are not available on this kind of connection; a poll does the same job.

Can I personalise each message?

Yes: fields such as {{first_name|there}}, spin text like {Hi|Hello}, a random number with {{random}}, and up to 50 variants of a message that rotate across your numbers.

Can I schedule a campaign?

Yes. Start now or pick a day and time, and set sending hours by your own clock or by each contact’s time zone.

What if my PC sleeps or goes offline during a campaign?

Sending stops while the PC sleeps or is offline, and carries on where it stopped when it is back. Keep the PC on and awake during a campaign; closing the window keeps Nitro running in the tray.

What if one of my numbers disconnects?

It reconnects by itself when it can. Meanwhile its waiting messages move to your other numbers after two minutes, and Nitro checks before any retry, so nobody gets a message twice.

Contacts and replies

How do I import my contacts?

Import a CSV, .xlsx or .xls file of up to 50 MB and 200,000 rows. Nitro matches the columns, adds the country code you choose, skips landlines if you like, and lets you download the rows that need fixing.

Can I use leads from Rovero?

Yes. Import a Rovero export (its columns are recognised), or let Rovero push new leads into Nitro on the same PC.

Where do replies go?

To the inbox, from all your numbers together, with poll votes and opt-outs marked. Answer with text or a file. Photos, videos, voice notes and files that contacts send are not shown in the inbox yet.

How are opt-outs handled?

When a contact replies STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT, Nitro puts them on your opt-out list and confirms it; START puts them back. Opted-out contacts are never messaged again.

Account and privacy

Where are my contacts and messages stored?

On your own PC. Our servers only see your sign-in, the app version, the PC’s name and the day’s message count for your plan; no contacts or message texts leave your PC.

Can I use Nitro on two PCs?

One PC per account at a time. Signing in on a new PC asks for your two-step code and moves your licence there.

Does it work without internet?

Sending needs the internet. If Leads ADD cannot be reached for a while, your licence keeps working for up to 72 hours.

Is there an API?

There is a local API on your own PC for adding contacts and receiving leads from Rovero. There is no API for sending messages.

Which languages does the app speak?

English. Your messages can be in any language.

Is Nitro made by WhatsApp?

No. WhatsApp is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. Nitro is independent software and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Meta or WhatsApp.
