Getting started
What is Rovero?
Rovero is smart, automated B2B lead generation software for Windows. You choose a business type and a city; it searches the city area by area, collects the emails and phone numbers that businesses publish, and gives you a duplicate-free list for Excel, CSV or your CRM.
What do I need to run it?
A Windows 10 or 11 PC (64-bit) and an internet connection. No administrator rights are needed, and your own Chrome is never changed.
Does it work on a Mac?
There is no Mac app yet. On a Mac, Rovero runs inside Google Chrome with the same account and the same features; after you sign in, the install page shows how.
How does the free trial work?
Create an account; no card is needed. Your free trial starts the first time you sign in to the app and lasts 3 days, with up to 25 rows per search.
What happens when the trial ends?
The app locks until you choose a plan. Any unused trial days are added on top of a yearly plan. See Rovero pricing.
Searching
Which businesses can I find?
Any kind of business with a public listing in the city you pick: restaurants, clinics, real-estate agents, contractors, shops, offices and more. You type the business type in your own words.
Which countries and cities does it cover?
Any city in any country. City area lists come from OpenStreetMap and are refreshed every month; big cities are well mapped, small towns may have only a few named areas, and you can add your own.
Does it search every street of a city?
It searches a city area by area. Use Area lists to add a city’s areas in one go, and Deep sweep to cover busy areas block by block.
What is Tower Dig?
Rovero spots the towers, business centres and malls in each area and searches inside them as well, so you also reach the offices and shops that sit inside one building.
How long does a search take?
It depends on the city and how many areas you choose: a few areas take minutes, a whole big city can take hours. Rovero works in the background, and you can watch the list grow.
Do you use proxies?
No. Rovero runs on your own PC, with natural pauses between steps and an automatic back-off when a website asks for a captcha.
What if my PC restarts or the internet drops?
Nothing is lost. The search picks up at the exact area, cell and page where it stopped.
Leads and exports
Which details does each lead have?
The business name and category, the address (with building and floor when known, in English and Arabic), phone numbers, website, rating and reviews, and the emails and extra mobile numbers found on its website and social pages.
How accurate are the emails and phone numbers?
Rovero collects what businesses publish themselves, on their listing, their website and their social pages; nothing is guessed or made up. Details change over time, so check a lead before an important campaign.
Will I get duplicates?
No. Every business is checked against the leads you already saved, across all your searches.
Which export formats are there?
Excel, CSV and JSON, a phone list ready to copy, and ready-made e-mail marketing and WhatsApp lists. WhatsApp lists get country codes and leave out landlines.
Can I send leads to my CRM?
Yes. Send to CRM posts leads to anything with a REST (JSON) endpoint, and the webhook sends each new lead the moment it is found.
Can I send WhatsApp messages to my leads?
Yes, with Nitro, our WhatsApp campaign app: push the leads into it on the same PC, or import a Rovero export file.
Account and billing
Can I use it on two computers?
One account is active on one PC at a time. Signing in on a second PC signs the first one out by itself; there is no need to contact anyone.
Where are my leads stored?
On your own PC, inside the app. Your favourite cities and their area lists are kept in your account, so they follow you to any PC you sign in on.
How do I pay?
By card, on a secure payment page. Prices show in your own currency and are charged in UAE dirhams (AED). Have a coupon? Type it in before you pay.
Can I get a refund?
See our refund policy.
Is it allowed to collect business contact details?
Rovero collects the details businesses publish for their customers. How you contact people is up to you: follow the e-mail and messaging rules of your country and of the people you write to, and always let them opt out.
No question matches those words. Ask us.
Still have a question?
Write to us and a person answers. Using Nitro too? See the Nitro FAQ.
