The UAE and Saudi Arabia get most of the attention, but GCC lead generation in Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman is well worth the effort. These are smaller markets where business is concentrated in a few cities, relationships matter, and a careful seller can cover a whole country. This guide shows where businesses sit in Doha, Kuwait City, Manama and Muscat, how to build one clean list across four countries, and the timing and good practice to keep in mind.

## The short answer

1. Start with the capital of each country: Doha, Kuwait City, Manama and Muscat.
2. Search area by area, and inside the towers and commercial complexes.
3. Save every phone number with its country code (+974, +965, +973, +968) from the start.
4. Keep English and Arabic names, and remove duplicates by phone number and website.
5. Contact businesses Monday to Thursday, identify yourself clearly, and offer an easy opt-out.

## Where businesses sit in each country

| Country | Main areas to search | Phone format |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Qatar | Doha: West Bay, Lusail, Al Sadd, Msheireb, the Old Airport area, the Industrial Area | +974 and 8 digits |
| Kuwait | Kuwait City (Sharq, Mirqab), Salmiya, Hawalli, Farwaniya, Shuwaikh Industrial, Fahaheel | +965 and 8 digits |
| Bahrain | Manama: Seef, the Diplomatic Area, Juffair, Bahrain Bay; plus Muharraq, Riffa, Sitra | +973 and 8 digits |
| Oman | Muscat: Ruwi, Qurum, Al Khuwair, Ghubra, Bausher, Al Mawaleh, Rusayl; plus Sohar and Salalah | +968 and 8 digits |

Look at the last column. In all four countries, local numbers have 8 digits. A bare 8-digit number in your spreadsheet could belong to any of them, so always save the country code when you collect the number, not later.

## Country notes

### Qatar

Most of Qatar's business life is in Doha. West Bay and Lusail are tower districts full of offices, so search inside the towers, not just the area. Al Sadd and Msheireb hold shops, clinics and smaller offices, and the Industrial Area holds workshops, contractors and suppliers. English is widely used in business, while Arabic is the first language of government and many local firms.

### Kuwait

Business in Kuwait spreads across Kuwait City and the surrounding governorates. Sharq and Mirqab hold offices and banks, Salmiya and Hawalli are busy commercial and retail areas, and Shuwaikh Industrial is the place for car services, suppliers and workshops. Many shops and offices sit inside commercial complexes, so search those by name. Arabic is the first language for many local businesses.

### Bahrain

Bahrain is small and compact, so you can cover the main business areas quickly. Seef holds malls and offices, the Diplomatic Area and Bahrain Bay hold banks and corporate offices, and Sitra holds industry. English is common in finance and professional services.

### Oman

Muscat stretches along the coast, so it is a long, spread-out city rather than one centre. Ruwi is an older business district, Qurum and Al Khuwair hold offices and ministries, and Rusayl has an industrial estate. Outside Muscat, Sohar (port and industry) and Salalah (the south) are the next places to look.

## GCC lead generation step by step: one clean list

1. **Pick one business type**, for example "interior fit-out companies" or "private clinics".
2. **Decide the country order.** Start with the market closest to your existing customers, or where you can visit.
3. **Search the capital area by area**, using the table above. Add tower and complex names in Doha, Kuwait City and Manama.
4. **Collect published contact details** from each business's website and its Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn pages. Many smaller Gulf businesses keep their most current mobile number on social pages.
5. **Save numbers in international format** with the right country code, at the moment you collect them.
6. **Handle regional brands.** A company with branches in Doha, Kuwait and Muscat is several rows, one per country, linked by brand name. Decide whether you sell to the head office or each branch.
7. **Keep both scripts.** Store the English and Arabic name. English spellings of Arabic names vary, so match duplicates on phone and website, not on name alone.
8. **Split by country** so each batch gets the right timing, language and offer.

Say you sell point-of-sale systems to cafés. Five areas of Doha, four of Kuwait City, three of Manama and five of Muscat might give you 600 cafés in total. Contact them in batches of 50, one country at a time, and you will learn what works in each market before you use up your list.

## Timing and culture in the smaller Gulf markets

- **Weekends.** At the time of writing, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman use a Friday-Saturday weekend, like Saudi Arabia. The UAE uses Saturday-Sunday. For a campaign across the whole Gulf, Monday to Thursday is a working day everywhere.
- **Ramadan.** Working hours are usually shorter during Ramadan, and evenings get busier. The dates follow the moon, so check them each year.
- **Summer.** July and August are often quieter, as many owners and managers travel.
- **Relationships.** These are small markets where people know each other and reputation travels fast. One careless mass message can follow you, while a respectful, personal approach builds referrals.
- **Language.** English works for many first contacts. For family businesses and smaller shops, a message in Arabic, or one that offers to continue in Arabic, often works better.

## Good practice for outreach

Each of these countries has its own data protection rules, and the details differ. The good habits are the same ones that apply in the UAE and Saudi Arabia:

- Contact businesses through the channels they published for contact.
- Say who you are and which company you represent in the first lines.
- Get consent before you send marketing messages, and keep a record of it.
- Make opting out easy and honour it at once.

This is general information, not legal advice; check the current rules for the country you send to.

## Where Rovero fits

Rovero is Windows software that searches any city in any country, area by area. You type a business type in your own words and a city such as Doha, Kuwait City, Manama or Muscat. Rovero shows the city's [area list](/rovero/features#city-area-lists), refreshed every month, and you tick the areas you want. Big cities are well mapped; smaller towns may have few named areas, and you can add your own.

Tower Dig searches inside towers, business centres and malls. Each lead comes with the address (building, floor and unit when known, in English and Arabic), phone numbers, website, rating and reviews, and the emails and mobile numbers each business publishes. Every business is checked against everything you already saved, across all four countries, so regional brands do not fill your list with duplicates. WhatsApp list exports give each number its country code and leave landlines out, and every city you look up is saved in your account with its area list.

Rovero does not give you the names or job titles of decision-makers; it finds businesses and the contact details they publish themselves.

## Frequently asked questions

### Is there a list of all companies in Qatar?

There is no single free download of every company in Qatar with phone numbers and emails. Directories, chamber member lists and exhibitor lists each cover part of the market. Most sales teams build their own list area by area in Doha and add other towns later.

### What is the weekend in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman?

At the time of writing, all four use a Friday-Saturday weekend, so the working week runs Sunday to Thursday. The UAE uses Saturday-Sunday, so plan Gulf-wide outreach for Monday to Thursday.

### Do I need Arabic to sell in these markets?

English works for many businesses, especially in finance, professional services and larger companies. For family businesses and smaller shops, Arabic or a bilingual message often reads as more respectful. Keep the Arabic name of every business either way.

### Can I search all four countries at once?

It works best city by city. Start with the four capitals, finish each one, and add other cities such as Sohar, Salalah or Al Wakrah when the capitals are done.
